I purchased the license plate video camera to install on my 2006 Toyota Tundra Crewcab truck. The license plate for my truck is on the rear bumper in an indented area. I had the equipment professionaly installed. The problem I have is that the sonar object sensors had to be discSoundstream VLP2CSB License Plate Frame Camera Sensoronnected because, sitting in an indented area on the rear bumper, the side of the indentation bumper wall interferes with the sonar detectors, causing the detector to constantly beep. If you want to visualize what I'm talking about, do an online search for a picture of the rear bumper of a 2006 Toyota Tundra truck. This may be a problem for anyone using this video license plate camer on a vehicle with problems similar to mine.There is no way to adjust the spread of the sonar signal. There are three sonar detectors and we even tried disconnecting the ones at each end of the license plate and using only the one in the center. That didn't work. For some reason, the sonar signal is hitting the sides of the rear bumper indentation well where the license plate goes. So, I am using the camera, which works great and I'm very happy with my installation which uses a Safesight SC7103 7 inch headrest monitor with mounting stand. What I don't get, which I paid for, is the beeping that comes when I'm backing up, warning me by the beeping frequency of the proximity to another car or object. I would appreciate talking with the manufacture to determine if there is a "fix."
