I bought this about 3 years ago to install in my truck with an aftermarket CD player and subs. Let me tell you, this has got some power. Although you won't get the complete lack of distortion like you will with some of the more expensive players, this as far as I could tell, diminished most of it. The main Con to this Amp is its overheating. If you put it under a seat it will overheat and stall or force you to shut it off and wait for it to cool down. I solved this by building my own ported box and havin the ports blow air on the Amp to keep the circulation going. Overall, I do reccommend it for a starter system because of its bang for the buck
