I purchased Tangent Quattro internet Radio to listen to the thousands of internet radios stations free of charge. I loved the look the design and the sound quality of this radio. What I really wanted is an internet Radio that is portable / rechargeable so I can use it in the yard, garage or around the pool. I also wanted it to have an FM in case I have no internet. So I spent about a whole month researching all the internet radios on the market. I have the Tangent Quattro and Tivoli Audio PAL radios and I love them both. Unfortunately neither of those brands have a portable rechargeable internet radios. I finally found out about Pure Oasis Flow. Actually the name confused me at first. It did not sound like a brand name of a high tech electronic product, it was more like a title of a novel or a poem. There was not much on the internet on it except a few pictures of different angles. There was no YouTube demo or factory demo etc. I read the size of the measurements and I built a cardboard model of the radio. It seemed as somewhat large. But that was OK with me because I thought it would make the speaker bigger and better sounding. The battery would be larger and would last longer. From the picture the design looked good. I liked the Retro rectangular shape look with the old style knobs in the front (even though I knew they were hi tech knobs). The radio was more than $ 200.00, I still felt it was worth it because I could get a life time pleasure out of it when sometimes I have spent that much in one night eating out. So using this logic (I ALWAYS USE THIS LOGIC WHEN DISCUSSING ANY PURCHASE WITH MY WIFE), I built enough courage and ordered it. When the box arrived and I opened it and set it up then built up "my favorite stations" collection, I started to listen to it at full blast, I suddenly realized that I am looking at the "MOTHER OF ALL INTERNET RADIOS". The body is made of cast aluminum, the plastic is a high impact high quality material. The sound quality almost rivals that of Tangent Quattro and Tivoli Audio PAL. In other words it was almost like a concert hall quality. The display is awesome. I have been using it for about two months taking it with me every where not even worried about braking it. It feels like it was designed to withstand the weight of a semi truck. Somebody must have spent years designing it from look to function to the feel of the knobs and their versatility. At this point I felt that $ 200.00 to $ 300.00 is really cheap for this radio. You can lay it down flat on front back or bottom with an O-ring like protected frame so you do not scratch whatever surface you put it on, or scratch the radio it self. If you are a person like me, i.e. total OCD about keeping your stuff in perfect shape for the rest of your life, then this radio is for you. There are more than 400 classic stations alone, many single artist dedicated stations, jazz, R&B, Rap, Bluegrass, hard rock, soft rock, Elvis Presley, Olivia newton John, Birds sounds, Beach sound, Snoring man sound, Brahms lullaby, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Wind chimes and thunder, Be Bop, , Ferrari engine sound, even a radio station for the world's greatest Diva "Om Kalthoum Radio" with probably one Billion listener ( just guessing). All those stations are free of charge. This radio has a aluminum prominent handle that can accommodate the biggest hands, with high quality ABS thick plastic shell that is Water resistant (around the pool). The controls just ooze quality through out. The rechargeable battery pack is easily replaceable and runs the radio for about ten hours before needing to be charged again. It has a WiFi connectivity or optional Ethernet adapter for a wired connection. Setting up and customizing your internet radio stations is easy through Pure's lounge web site (free of charge). This Radio also lets you connect up any external audio device through a 3.5mm line in stereo jack for items like I-pod, I-phone, CD player, Smart phone or mp3 player. You can also connect it to your home stereo system through the headphone jack. You can stream music wirelessly from your PC, MAC, Android phone etc with a music server application call twonky server. So this will allow complete access to your entire iTunes library. I believe with time this radio will become another legend just like the Panasonic RF-2200.
