The JVC KT-PK3000 can be used in vehicles at home or with a dedicated JVC boom box. Its compact size makes it easy to move from one location to another, and it uses the same car kit, home kit and boom box as JVC's current plug & play model. It boasts a vibrant LCD panel with a six-line display, intuitive controls and multiple menu options for further enhanced legibility and safety by minimizing distractions while driving. Users can set up to 30 stream presets use Memory Capture to store 20 favorite songs that are searched for in incoming channels anytime this feature is activated. All functions can be locked or unlocked to ensure that preferences remain intact until the user decides it's time for a change. The Jump Button puts traffic, weather reports or a favorite SIRIUS channel just one touch away. Users who want to know what they'll hear next can search ahead in a stream to see what artists, songs or programs will be featured on any SIRIUS channel. Additional features include a dimmer contrast control, channel skip capability, auto shut down, sleep timer, and wireless remote control.

This receiver has a great fm transmitter, the reception is great in the car and at home. Clear no static listening is always there with this portable unit. The unit in my house is 40ft from my home stereo and listening is crystal clear.

I own the previous model, and bought two of the new models for Christmas presents. They work just fine, and the replay is a nice feature.I'd love to have the option of changing the display colour (it is red, my interior panels light up green), but that's just about my only complaint.

The radio is excellent. Sound quality is clear. The problem is Sirius uses constantly orbiting satellites so keeping a steady signal is impossible. You have to keep moving the antenna around as the satellite moves. Reception in a moving car is decent, less signal drops. Listening at home is almost impossible. If you use a microwave oven anywhere in the house, the signal is dropped.
